Jennifer Celiberti joined the admissions team in 2022 as the Director of Lower School Admissions, bringing with her 25 years of experience in elementary education. As a Lower School teacher, she became a member of the Dwight-Englewood (D-E) faculty in 2019, dedicated to fostering meaningful and purposeful learning.
With a rich background as a teacher, tutor, school board member, and parent, Jennifer has been immersed in the world of independent schools (both in Manhattan and the tri-state area) since she began her teaching career in 1991. Her ability to see the world through her students' creative eyes and appreciate the individual differences of each child and family has been a cornerstone of her educational philosophy.
Jennifer’s deep connection to D-E’s mission is evident in her work. As a former Lower School faculty member, she championed the creation of learning environments where children feel empowered, confident, ready to take risks, and self-motivated. Her passion for education is reflected in her enthusiasm for the unique classroom settings that encourage students to take charge of their learning journey. As the Director of Lower School Admissions, she continues to embody these values, ensuring that prospective families and students experience D-E's supportive and dynamic educational atmosphere from their first interaction. Jennifer loves the vibrant energy and rhythm of the Dwight-Englewood campus, from the early morning carpool line to classroom projects, the excitement of big games and performances, and the tranquil beauty of sunsets over the campus.
Jennifer holds a B.A. in History from Gettysburg College and an M.Ed. in Elementary Teaching from Bank Street College of Education in New York City. She lives in Bergen County with her husband, Brian, and their three children, Olivia, William, and Charlotte.
Jennifer feels privileged to introduce families to the distinctive opportunities, relationships, and connections at Dwight-Englewood School and can be reached at celibj@d-e.org.
