EMILY ORTIZ

Emily Ortiz is thrilled to join Dwight-Englewood School as the Admissions and Financial Aid Coordinator. Her journey began when her family went through the admissions process for her daughter, Ella '30, who joined the 2023-24 sixth-grade class, igniting Emily's passion for this exceptional institution.

 

Previously, Emily served as a Director of Admissions at another private school, gaining experience in enrollment and recruitment. She has a background in Public Relations and non-profit development. Her career also includes success in marketing and communications. She is committed to using her skills to support Dwight-Englewood's growth.

 

Emily’s unique trajectory includes a significant chapter as a professional tango dancer and spent time living in Buenos Aires. She holds a B.S. in Recreation & Leisure Studies from Montclair State University and recently moved back to New Jersey from California.

 

Emily's perspective as a parent makes her deeply attuned to the needs of D-E families.  She is eager and excited to contribute her knowledge and passion to our community.
