Young Bulldogs Sting MKA!
After suffering their first loss of the year a few days ago, the young lady Bulldogs stormed back and won a hard-fought game over rival Montclair Kimberly Academy by a score of 2-1. Dwight-Englewood 8th grader Sara Roth, ripped the first goal of the game beating the MKA goalie, to give the Bulldogs an early 1-0 lead.
During the second half, two of our first year players contributed to the 2016 seaon. Diana Mendoza-Zavala made a beautiful pass from the left side to 6th grader, Sofia Sujak, who in turn, planted the ball in the lower right side of the goal to give the Bulldogs a 2-0 lead.
MKA scored their one and only goal with one minute remaning to split the lead in half, but the mighty Bulldog defense held strong to secure the victory.
