The 2016 young Lady Bulldogs of the DE middle school continue to play good soccer. Despite being outnumbered 11-9, the Bulldogs fought valiantly and came away with an amazing 5-0 victory in their best played game of the year, improving their season record to 3-1. The team played with a tremendous amount of togetherness, unity, and worked well together.
Lexi Levine continued her stellar play scoring a "Hat-Trick" (3 goals in a gme) during the match: her first goal hitting the upright off of a corner kick from the left side. Later in the game, Kate Meleski gave Lexi a beautiful pass which Lexi deposited into the goal. She later tallied her third and final goal of the game late in the contest. Lexi also played goal keeper for the last 10 minutes and was unscored upon...turning away 4 shots.
Paris Cooke-Brown registered another shut-out of the season playing a strong game at goalie and saving 5 shots. Paris also had an assist to Kiki March to help Kiki score her first goal of the year.
Kate Meleski had a spectacular game with two assists...Hannah Model and Lexi Levine. The goals helped put away the Trinity squad in the seond half of the contest.
The defense, led by Sarah Roth, Angie Victor, Kate Meleski, and Daniela Quirola, constantly pressured the ball and didn't allow the Trinity team to score. Midfielders Diana Mendoza-Zavala and Finnula Papailias also played very well as outside mid-fielders and assisted the team with good passing and hard work for the victory.
